Paul Mitchell, the Mindarie-Halidon Race Club's publicity officer, is promoting the "Melbourne Cup of the Mallee" event, which is scheduled for Sunday, the 15th.

In 2021, it was announced that it would be the last event at the renowned country track. However, the decision was reversed due to public demand, and the 2022 event attracted near-record attendance. Unfortunately, the 2023 Cup meeting was missed because of an irrigation problem.

However, everything is in place for an outstanding Cup meeting this Sunday, with the track being in perfect condition.
